JackRabbit Chocolate won Gold at the European Open Section of the International Chocolate Awards, a First for RSA!
After an extremely stressful 10 days of chocolate creation, courier, customs clearance and submission in Budapest, our entries arrived in a good condition and was awarded a gold medal for the category manon / cream / butter enrobed in milk chocolate.
We were the first entry from our country, and were proud to represent South Africa at this prestigious prize giving event.
After winning an amazing GOLD at the European open, we subsequently qualified for the World Finals of the International Chocolate Awards, held in London. We traveled with our chocolate entries (babies) in our hand luggage and submitted them for judging on arrival in London. After a week of anxiously waiting, and bated breath! we were awarded the Silver (HOORAY!) in the same category at the awards ceremony.
